We are a builder that is hands on and dedicated to only a few projects at a time to ensure proper attention is given to each client. We specialize in distinctive concepts and enjoy a challenge. Owner and Licensed General Contractor Phil Washburn has been full time in the residential construction industry since 1992 of which all has been in the high country of north Carolina. Building in the mountains and on the hillsides of Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing rock is unique experience that must be put in the hands of experience.

A couple years ago, my husband and I decided to look for a home we could use as a vacation rental. Our search took us to a home in the Blowing Rock area. Upon approaching the home, we saw that it was built on the side of a very steep hill and was a little concerned about the stability of the home. The realtor was already there so I went in. After a little while, my husband decided to join me. The home was so well built that we ended up putting an offer on the property. We were disappointed when we did not get it, however, we did ask for the name of the builder which was Phil Washburn. Soon afterwards, we found a property on Sugar Mountain and started the building process. Phil was with us every step of the way. Always offering suggestions and working with us until we got the home we had envisioned. He was very patient with all my "crazy" ideas and made what could have been a very stressful process enjoyable and fun. We highly recommend Phil and his very talented crew of workers. They build a very solid home with attention to even the smallest of details. You will not find a more professional or honest builder anywhere.
